"The role of biopharmaceutical and medical device industry associations in influencing health innovation in South Africa and India: opportunities, challenges, and policy considerations" workshop provided an opportunity for the project members to present their findings to 17 stakeholders in the South African biopharmaceutical industry, including representatives from key associations, government departments, as well as industry experts.
Five stakeholder presentations were also given, tasked with explaining the importance of innovation in the South African biopharmaceutical industry, the role of associations in this regard, and the opportunities for improving industry-government relations. The workshop successfully facilitated dialogue between stakeholders, provided valuable feedback on the project, and established a network platform for further collaboration and research.
