Chris Warkup has worked as CEO and Director of major knowledge exchange organisations for over 20 years, most recently as the Director and CEO of the Knowledge Transfer Network (KTN), where he led the integration of all 14 KTNs into a single UK network.
He has been a very active member of Innogen’s Advisory Board and supported the Institute’s knowledge transfer activities in the area of life sciences innovation by providing valuable insights from industry and encouraging research towards solving problems which are relevant to both industrialists and policy makers.
He is well recognised for his understanding of biological and innovation policy. He is a Fellow of the Linnean Society and former President of the British Society of Animal Science. His enthusiastic participation in various panels and events organised by Innogen and other research institutions has supported the learning activities of many PhD students and early career researchers.
