Tait addresses sell-out crowd at BCPC Congress
Joyce Tait gives talk on 'Science, Evidence and Advocacy in European Decision Making' in Brighton
This year’s BCPC Congress held in Brighton on 1-2 October 2013 saw a sell-out keynote address from Innogen’s Co-Director, Prof Joyce Tait.
Prof Tait spoke on ‘Science, Evidence and Advocacy in European Decision Making’, and discussed the inhibited innovation environment for companies in Europe developing agricultural technologies.
The Congress also offered two days of presentations with ample time for debating and networking opportunities for manufacturers, formulators, distributors, service providers, researchers and other organisations in order to exchange ideas on how to best do business.
Dr Colin Ruscoe, Chairman of BCPC, commented: “The aim of the Congress is to concentrate on specific topics and this first year will focus on what has become a challenging and important driver in the crop protection industry – regulatory affairs.
“Uptake for this new event has been very encouraging and shows that there is a strong interest in a congress which comprises expert contributions that are of immediate value to those working in this highly complex area.”
