Venue: The Open University, 1-11 Hawley Crescent, Camden Town, London NW1 8NP
For more than forty years, Professor Raphie Kaplinsky has been researching the economics of innovation, globalisation and development. His research topics range from globalisation and the international automobile sector to appropriate technology and the impact of China on global commodity prices. Professor Kaplinsky’s current research focuses on inclusive innovation, Global Value Chains, the resource sector and on China and India as a source of pro-poor innovation.
Throughout these years, he has worked with talented and passionate colleagues and friends, many of whom will be attending this event. The function of the workshop is to bring together a community of colleagues to discuss, on an informal basis, the leading issues which are now driving these fields and to identify the research gaps which have emerged.
